We recently had the chance to talk with Alex, Owner at Atlanta Modern Moonwalks, to learn more about her business and how they got started. Jumping Into Fun: How We Got Started

In 2016, Alex decided to become a stay-at-home-mom after her son was diagnosed with epilepsy. The change gave her the opportunity to spend more time with her family.

“Being a stay-at-home mom has been awesome,” Alex said, “But, in the last few years, I started looking for something to do outside of being a mom. I have a passion for throwing parties and photography and really wanted to get back into the space.”

With a background in photography and event planning, Alex was excited about starting a business in the event space. As she considered the party rental concept, she stumbled upon the modern bounce house and was immediately drawn to the appeal and sophistication of this new look. As a photographer, she loved the modern, sleek look and simple color palette that coordinates with any party theme. 

Alex and her husband, Jacob, started Atlanta Modern Moonwalks in 2022. Now, this amazing and inspiring mom and entrepreneur is delivering luxury bounce houses to hundreds of parties around Atlanta.

“This has turned into so much more and I am so grateful for that,” shared Alex.

Bouncy Details: All About Atlanta Modern Moonwalks

This woman-owned business offers two white bounce house rentals in Atlanta: 

• Classic White Bounce House Rental: 12ft x 10ft is perfect for all ages
• Mini White Bounce House Rental: 6ft x 6ft is best for ages five and under

Both white bounce house rentals can be perfectly accessorized with balloons and other décor. The team plans to add more colors to their bounce house rental offerings soon. The large bounce house is best for outdoors or requires a 10ft ceiling clearance indoors. The smaller one can typically be used indoors.

Rentals are for the full day and we drop-off and pick-up on the same day.

Pricing starts at $300 for 4 hours or $450 for 8 hours for the mini white bounce house rental and $375 per day for the classic white bounce house rental.

How early should parents book with Atlanta Modern Moonwalks?

We recommend booking as soon as possible! We often get booked out months in advance. We do require a deposit to lock in your date.

What areas of Atlanta do you serve?

We are based in Gwinnett, but we serve the entire metro Atlanta area. Delivery is free to Duluth, Johns Creek, Lawrenceville, Norcross, Suwanee, and Buford. Sometimes we travel up to 2-3 hours, but we do add a delivery and service fee for those locations.

What is funniest thing you have seen at a kids’ birthday party?

With the open face design, kids love to do running jumps onto the bounce house. It’s so fun to watch!

One time, we went to pick up after an event and the kids were still playing on the moonwalk. All of them wanted to help pick it up and stomp the air out. We love how the kids like to get involved. We even have fun bringing our own kids to pick-ups and deliveries.

We loved getting to talk with you today! As we wrap up, can you tell us what your favorite thing is about working with kids’ birthday parties and events?

I love the smiles, the laughs, and the joy we get to bring to kids. When the kids see the bounce house coming up, they know the fun has arrived. When they watch us set it up, they are anxiously awaiting to get in and jump. The bounce house is the star of the show, and we love getting to bring that excitement to kids.
