We had the best LEGO birthday party and are here to share all our ideas and tips for the ultimate LEGO party! My now 6-year-old is into LEGO everything and was so excited to have a LEGO party with his sweet friends. If you are looking for an awesome kids birthday party idea for your LEGO-loving kiddo – we have just the plan! Here is how we brought the LEGO themed birthday party to life with LEGO games and activities.
LEGO Birthday Party Games & Activities
LEGO Building: When the birthday party crew arrived, we had tons of LEGOs on the table for each friend to build their own LEGO creations. We bought two large bags of bulk LEGOs from Bricks & Minifigs Johns Creek, which was more than enough for 16 kiddos. I also purchased these building block party favor boxes on Amazon and used them as centerpieces on the table. Each friend then placed their LEGO creations in the box to take home as a party favor!
Giant LEGO Play: We bought jumbo blocks from Amazon. We used the giant blocks as a party backdrop, for games, and for the crew to build together.
LEGO Relay Race: We split the birthday party crew into two teams and did a relay race with LEGOs on a kitchen spoon, using some of the bulk LEGOs. The kids had to walk down and back, then hand the spoon to the next person on their team without dropping the LEGOs. It definitely wasn’t easy – but so fun!
Giant Block Tower Competition: Next, our birthday party crew competed to build the tallest tower with the giant blocks. A great kids birthday party game and competition!
LEGO Cookie Decorating: To complete our LEGO themed kids party activities, the birthday party crew, made their own LEGO cookie! Each child received their own square shaped cookie, a cup of white icing with plastic knife for spreading, and an assortment of LEGO shaped icing decorations. Then they got to work on their own LEGO cookie! Kids could eat at the party or package in their building block party favor boxes. Supplies for this included:
Next, it was time for birthday cake! We sang happy birthday to the birthday boy as made a wish and blew out the candles on his LEGO birthday cake from Cassie Cakes.
And to complete our LEGO birthday theme, Confetti Pop ATL created the most perfect LEGO themed balloon garland, the ultimate centerpiece for our LEGO birthday party.
For us, the most important part of our kids’ birthday parties is celebrating the special moments and making sure our little ones feel so very loved. I’d say we did that for sure.
